Before you begin, you have to have a list of courses that have pre-reqs.
DO a little at a time.
Example:
ENGL 1102. ENG 191 C
ENGL 1102 O. ENG 1101 C
ENGL 1102 O. ENGL 1101 C
BEGIN
StandAloneBlock # share with all blocks
;
1 Class in ENGL 1101 (with DWTerm < REGTERM)
Proxy-Advice "English 1101 needs to be taken first."
Label 1 "Clas in English 1101"
Notice that I didn't scribe for any equivalent courses. That is handled in CFG070
REGTERM is recommended over DWPREGISTERED=Y because REGTERM will with with the SEP and Banner Registration Prerequisites
If a course requires a Corey you can use (with DWTERM=REGTERM)
Using Proxy-Advices will allow you to create more detailed message referencing whet the stuatnde needs versus the limits of a standard label
Proxy-advice will show in both the SEP and in Banner Web registration
- Note: The PreReq/test score error will stil show in SFAREGS
Saving
Type=REQUISITE
Value=ENGL1102
- important note: there is no space between the sidsipline and the course number
- for SEP PreReq checking, only the course ca van be used as the block value because planner courses for not have CRNs
OR - CRN option
VALUE=20151212345
- 201512 is the term for the requisite and 12345 is the CRN
Start Term = 201212 or 000000
Stop Term = 201512 or 999999
Block TItle = PreReq for ENGL 1102
Copy rules from other
OTHER=TESTS
Test Scores are on that block
Transit allows you to test PreReq before establishing the link to Banner for registration
SCR91 - Banner PreReq Checker service
SCR92 - test PreReq descriptions service
output has more information
Note the 999999. Means never. When you are ready to go live, then change this to the term you want to go live.
